Guys. We’re not math wizards, but we did the math, and the chance to have a Valentine’s Day wedding without having to get married midweek only comes along three times every 11 years. So when our client Kate, lover of all things girly, romantic and feminine, got engaged, the possibility of a Valentine’s Day wedding was too good to pass up. We are obsessed with a Valentine’s Day wedding on any day of the week, so it was no surprise that we clicked with Kate immediately. She loves what we love. Ruffles! Hearts! Pink and red! A dramatic moment! The vision was crystal clear, so we got to work designing a custom wedding veil fit for a magical, chic, romantic-core Valentine's Day wedding.
The Ceremony Look: A White Hooded Veil with Heart Details
Kate wanted a white wedding veil for her ceremony, but something with more drama than a traditional veil. We proposed the idea of a faux hooded veil, and she was in! (We love it when our clients say yes to our design dreams!) We designed a piece that was structured, soft, and dramatic. Kate loves our Madonna Veil, so we trimmed her veil in the same ruffly hearts we use for Madonna, but this time in white. Lastly, the whole thing was finished with something truly special: hand-placed floral appliqués made from her mom’s wedding dress. The mix of fabrics added beautiful texture, and the heirloom detail gave the veil even more meaning.
The Reception Look: Pink, Chic, and Playful
For the reception, we continued with the heart theme (obvi!) and made Kate the cutest pair of fingerless bridal gloves. We added the same ruffled hearts, but this time, mini and made from sparkly, hot pink fabric. We also added hot pink bows because we'll never say no to a bow!
This custom wedding veil and bridal glove set was such a joy to create, and being part of Kate’s gorgeous Valentine’s Day vision was a dream. Every detail of her look was filled with personality, meaning, and pure joy. Our favorite kind of project.
